    • How to identify current or past ‘champions of social learning’ within CCAFS and, to some extent, the CGIAR, eventually to help establish synergies within CCAFS and explore cross-CRP synergies on ‘climate change and social learning’

Day 1 - Social learning in the CGIAR

Morning 1
  • (5') Welcome by Wiebke and Philip
  • (40') Introduction of participants:
    • Place yourselves on the 4-quadrant social learning map (x = from research to development; y = from focusing on specific groups to multiple groups) and ask questions.
    • Introduce someone that you know and say what you think they can contribute about social learning (or otherwise).
  • (15') Objectives and agenda + check any particular idea (expectations) to cover in the workshop
  • (30') Ice-breaking discussion: what is social learning / what is its value? (table buzz for 15 min and feedback in plenary for 15'.
Morning 2

    • Presentation of CCAFS
    • ... A bit on why this interest in social learning and some work done in this area in the past few months + hopes and visions to get where in the future?
